If you want to end a friendship with someone, what better way to break the news than showing them charts and graphs?
There's a new app called 'people keeper' that scientifically determines which people you should eliminate from your life. It's actually spelled 'pplkpr', which is 'people keeper' with the vowels removed.
You wear a device that measures your heart rate, and it sends that data to your phone in real-time by Bluetooth ... there are a ton of those on the market since the wearable fitness trend started.
Then the app gauges your heart rate as you talk to people. And over time, it figures out which people make you the most stressed, nervous, and angry.
The people who created it say there's a chance the app could be more than just a friend eliminator. They believe it could help people with autism who have trouble understanding emotional reactions to situations.
Other than Thanksgiving, Americans eat more on Super Bowl Sunday than any other day of the year.
A recent study found the average person consumes 2,400 calories during the game. Which is on the high end of what most of us should get in an entire DAY.
Here are three simple tricks that can help you avoid it.
1. Alternate between beer and water. A lot of the calories you get come from beer. So obviously if you drink water too, you can cut those calories in half. Or take one for the team . . . don't drink at all . . . and be the designated driver.
2. Only eat at halftime. Or in other words, make sure you don't sit there mindlessly shoving food in your face for four straight hours.
3. Avoid these three foods. Pizza, chips, and wings. Of all the stuff you find at Super Bowl parties, those three tend to have the most calories and fat.
GoDaddy.com released a great Super Bowl ad yesterday mocking those Budweiser "puppy" commercials. But animal lovers absolutely lost their minds over it, so it's been pulled.
The ad starts with a cute golden retriever puppy falling off a truck, then making the long, arduous journey back home to his farm.
When he gets there, his owner is overjoyed to see him, because she'd already sold him to a place called "Gabby's Goldens" through her GoDaddy website!
The ad was a perfect satire of Budweiser's cynical, pandering "cuteness overload" puppy spots, but animal activists didn't see it that way.
In addition to calling it kind of cruel, they also felt that it encourages breeding and puppy mills.
There was even a petition on Change.org. It said GoDaddy is encouraging private breeding and puppy mills, while shelter animals sit waiting to die.
They also noted that selling animals online is a good way to have them end up in the hands of an abusive creep or someone who can't properly care for them.
The backlash was so intense that Go Daddy ended up yanking the ad from YouTube, and promising not to air it during the game. They said, quote, "You'll still see us in the Big Game this year, and we hope it makes you laugh."
Before that, though, they released a video featuring their go-to girl DANICA PATRICK encouraging pet adoption. For some reason they yanked that, too.
They also posted a video showing how Buddy has been adopted by the company, and given the title of "Chief Companion Officer". He even has his own Twitter account, @GoDaddyBuddy.
Nabisco just announced they're rolling out a brand new line of Oreos for Valentine's Day this year ... Red Velvet Oreos.
The red velvet Oreos use red cookies and cream cheese-flavored filling.
Oreo has been pretty crazy with its fillings in the past several years. They've had watermelon Oreos, candy corn Oreos, rainbow sherbet Oreos, and more. But they have always used either the chocolate or vanilla cookies with those fillings.
The red cookies are only the third color of cookies in Oreo history. They started with the brown chocolate cookies in 1912, introduced the golden vanilla cookies in 2004, and now are rolling out the red ones in 2015.
The cookies come out on February 2nd and will be on sale for at least six weeks. Depending on how they sell, they have a shot at becoming a permanent Oreo flavor.
Back in September, a cop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida named Franklin Foulks was in the middle of booking a 17-year-old kid named Jamal Rutledge for burglary, and they were alone together in a room.
Then in the middle of filling out paperwork, Franklin suddenly collapsed on the floor, and started grabbing at his chest. Apparently he had a heart attack.
Which could have ended tragically. But Jamal, who was handcuffed at the time, immediately started screaming for help, and banging on a metal door to get someone's attention. Then two other cops rushed in, did CPR, and saved Franklin's life.
According to paramedics who showed up a few minutes later, Franklin could have died if Jamal hadn't acted as quickly as he did. And next Wednesday, he's being honored by the city for it.
Now, since then Jamal has actually been arrested again. It's not clear what he did this time, but police are hoping that commending him for doing the right thing will help encourage him to turn his life around.
Meanwhile, Franklin is back at work part time for now. And he's expected to resume all of his duties by the end of the month.

Over the weekend, a weatherman in Miami named Ryan Phillips was in the middle of his forecast, when a dog jumped on his desk! It was there for a segment called "Pet of the Week", where they bring in dogs and cats that are up for adoption.
We're coming up on New Year's resolutions, which means millions of people will swear that in 2015, they'll finally start working out every day, complain less, or volunteer more.
And there's a chance you WILL, as long as you were born after 1985!
Brian Little is a psychologist at the University of Cambridge in England. And he just published a new book called "Me, Myself, and Us" which proposes that you are who you are by age 30, and you're not going to change.
He uses a metaphor that your personality is made out of plaster, and by 30, that plaster has set, and won't ever be soft enough to mold again.
His theory is based on research from a psychologist who studied identical twins back in the late 1800s and found that the mix of genetic personality traits and your choices stop evolving by age 30.
There is a bright side, though, all hope for change isn't TOTALLY lost, it's just MOSTLY lost.
Even though your personality is pretty much set in stone, you can act against your nature ... but it's going to take a lot of energy and perseverance to develop those new habits.
The 2014 American Music Awards was full of A-list winners!
Iggy Azalea had an amazing night with her wins for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album and Favorite Artist Rap/Hip-Hop Album. The Aussie rapper beat Eminem for the awards, making for a sweet comeback after his diss at her the other week.
"This award is the first award I've ever won in my entire life and it means so much to me that it is for Best Hip-Hop, because that's what inspired me to move to America and pursue my dreams and it's what helped me when I was a teenager to escape and to get through my life and to better times," the "Fancy" crooner said during her acceptance speech.
Meanwhile, the guys of One Direction took home three awards!

You know all those failed relationships you've had, and how it was the other person's fault every time? Yeah, turns out you might just be genetically predisposed to be bad at relationships!
Researchers at Peking University in China recently tested hair samples from 579 students. And the ones who had a certain version of a gene called 5-HTA1 were 20% more likely to still be single.
In other words, they found a gene that makes you bad at relationships. It's because the gene causes your brain to produce less serotonin. And when you have less of it, you're more likely to feel uncomfortable getting close to people and maintaining relationships.
They also factored in things like how much money people had, and how good-looking they were. But it didn't make a difference.
There's no way to tell which version of the gene you have without being tested. But if you can't seem to settle down, there's a pretty good chance you have the "bad at relationships" kind. 38% of the people in the study had that version of the gene.
As a bonus, it also makes you more likely to suffer from depression and be mentally unbalanced. So yeah ... happy Friday?

Taylor Swift sold another 312,000 copies of her album "1989" last week to easily top the Billboard albums chart for a third straight week. She's now up to two million in total sales so far!
Five new albums debuted in this week's Top 10: Foo Fighters hit #2 with 190,000 copies of "Sonic Highways". Pink Floyd earned their tenth Top 10 album with "The Endless River" at #3. Garth Brooks' hit #4 with his first studio album in 13 years, rapper Big K.R.I.T. was at #5 and Nick Jonas' self-titled album was in 6th place.
9. "In the Lonely Hour", Sam Smith . . . 34,000 copies
10. "The Cowboy Rides Away", George Strait . . . 30,000 copies
Over on the Hot 100, Taylor Swift was knocked out of the top spot by . . . HERSELF. Her song "Blank Space" rocketed from #13 last week to #1 this week, replacing "Shake It Off" and making her the first woman in the Hot 100's 56-year history to be succeeded by herself for the top spot.
She's also the only artist with two Hot 100 #1 hits this year, and her album "1989" is the first to send its first two singles to #1 since Macklemore & Ryan Lewis did it last year.
There were two other new entries on this week's Top 10: Sam Smith earned his third Top 10 song with "I'm Not the Only One"at #9 and Nick Jonas earned his first solo Top 10 hit with "Jealous" at #10.
Here are this week's Top 10 songs and the # of weeks they've been on the chart . . .

9. "I'm Not the Only One", Sam Smith . . . 11 weeks
Around Christmas, it's tempting to apply for store credit cards at places like The Gap, even though they tend to have really high interest rates. But according to Credit.com, here are four places where store credit cards AREN'T a total rip-off.
1. Kohl's. There's no annual fee, you get 20% off your next order, a coupon for 15% off in the mail, and one coupon a month that gets you between 15 and 30% off.
2. Best Buy. You can either get 5% back in credit, or six months of no interest on purchases over $150, and 18 months if you spend more than $430. You also get free shipping on anything over $35. And again, no annual fee.
3. Victoria's Secret. If you spend more than $250 a year, you get 4% back in store credit. And you get double the reward points for any bras you buy. So that one makes sense if you already spend $250 a year there. If you don't, maybe not.
4. Wal-Mart. If you buy gas, you get five cents off per gallon, which isn't much. But if you're rebuilding your credit, it's one of the easiest cards to get approved for. And if you sign up for online statements, they send you your credit score each month.
Just remember that with any credit card, you need to stay under 10% of your limit to improve your credit.
This is a pretty incredible reminder of how loyal dogs are. There's a reason we happily spend $200 trillion on dog toys and leashes and crap every single year.
An 85-year-old guy in San Angelo named J.R. Nicholson was feeling dizzy a few weeks ago, and called 911 for help. So the paramedics came, loaded him into the ambulance, and took him to the hospital.
But they didn't realize his 35-pound beagle named Buddy didn't want to leave J.R.'s side.
Buddy hopped onto the little side step of the ambulance without any of the paramedics noticing ... and just sat there, riding the ambulance, as it went to the hospital.
About 20 miles into the drive, another driver flagged them down and told them there was a dog on the side of the ambulance! They didn't really have a choice at that point, so they loaded Buddy into the back and took him the rest of the way.
J.R. stayed one night at the hospital and was released. And Buddy stayed with him the entire time.
Sad news broke yesterday as a Lubbock karaoke legend has passed. I personally have been going to David Trout's shows all the way back to the late 1990s at Chelsea Street Pub inside the South Plains Mall. Later years, at Scuttlebutts and then most recently Skooners. Such a likable guy who took karaoke to a whole new level of fun. He will most certainly be missed by many.
Skooners will be hosting a David Trout Memorial Karaoke show and Benefit starting at 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night. Here is the statement that was posted by Skooners Thursday night:
"We are encouraging everyone who comes in to wear their version of David's signature Hawaiian lei and bring in any David Trout memorabilia that you would like to share stories about.
"While the passing of such a great man pulls at our heart strings, we all know that David would want everyone to be happy, sing some songs, and have a good time. To help with the cost of arrangements and living costs for his family, Skooners staff will be taking donations to put towards the expenses at hand. Every cent, hug, dollar, and smile helps.
"Our staff would also like to thank YOU ALL for supporting David's show for so many years. From Chelsea's Pub to Scuttlebutt's to Skooners, David NEVER knew a stranger, and we were all so incredibly lucky to have known his sweet soul."
If you're a dog owner, there's a way to donate to charity without actually spending any money, and you don't have to do anything you're not already doing.
There's a new, free app called "Walk for a Dog" that uses the GPS on your phone to track how far you walk your dog. Then it donates a certain amount of money to an animal shelter, depending on how far you walk.
The money comes from sponsorship deals and ads, and you can raise anywhere from 10 to 25 cents per mile.
About 100,000 people have already downloaded it, gone on 800,000 walks, and raised over $10,000! And the best part is you get to CHOOSE where the money goes. There's an option where you can search for shelters in your area.
To check it out, just go to WoofTrax.com and click "Get the App". Or search for "Walk for a Dog app" online.
I can only ask ... where the heck this was when I was in high school?!?! This new app lets you point your camera at a math problem, and then it solves it! It will even give you step by step how it's done!

After this guy sneezed and joked that he had Ebola, the hazmat team spent HOURS checking the plane, and him to make sure he really didn't. He was forced to stay on the plane for two hours until he was cleared. Seems like a pretty stupid think to do on a flight, right? The video of the hazmat team entering the plane is below, to see the full story, click HERE.

Back in August, someone dropped off their four-year-old dog at an animal shelter in Ozark, Alabama after it got hit by a car. They said they couldn't take care of him because they were moving.
So workers at the shelter nursed the dog back to health. But for whatever reason, no one wanted to adopt it ... partly because it was injured, and partly because it was a mutt. So last month, they finally decided to put him down.
They had a vet come and give it a lethal injection, left his body in a crate for the night, and planned to remove it the next day.
But when they came back the next morning ... somehow the dog was still alive, walking around the kennel like normal, and drinking water.
Which apparently can happen if the vet doesn't use a big enough dose, or they miss a vein. But regardless, they decided not to euthanize him after that, and sent him to a no-kill shelter instead.
Someone decided to name him Lazarus ... after the guy in the Bible Jesus brought back to life ... and in less than a month, he fully recovered. Then someone heard about the story and adopted him.
There's a video making the rounds that allegedly shows a guy in South Korea, who tried to make it seem like a woman hit him with her car ... by charging at it, diving on the hood, and then head butting the windshield until it broke!
She had a dash-cam though, so obviously he won't get any money. It's also possible he wasn't trying to scam her, and he's just insane...

This guy made a ginger card as a joke on his bday, and over the course of a few years, he's saved HUNDREDS of dollars! People more than likely took it seriously because they were worried it was a real thing and didn't want to be insensitive!
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon separated back in May -- and are living apart. And TMZ reports divorce lawyers have been negotiating a property settlement and custody agreement for months and the divorce is "a done deal."
Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ Mariah and Nick have been living in separate houses in NYC since May. He sees the kids but that's the extent of their contact.
You gotta feel for any kids who have to go back to school already! But at least the kids at one school have this once-in-a-lifetime, legendary moment to carry them through classes in early August.
49-year-old Lorie Ann Hill was a new teacher at Wagoner High School in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Lorie showed up at 9:00 A.M. on her first day at the new school hammered on vodka ... and not wearing pants!
Someone called the cops, and by the time they got there she'd put pants on but was still clearly drunk. She managed to dodge a DUI charge because no one saw her drive to the school drunk. But she was arrested for public intoxication.
There's no word on whether the school fired her, but you gotta assume she isn't there teaching right now.
This year’s Sales Tax Holiday is Aug. 8 - 10. As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.
Subject to the criteria explained below, all sales of qualifying items made during the holiday period qualify for the exemption, including items sold online, or by telephone or mail. Lay-away plans can be used again this year to take advantage of the sales tax holiday.
The dates for the sales tax holiday are set by the Legislature.
The “Fine Print” – important information you should know about this tax-saving event:
Adolf Peters, who is 38, created an unusual twist on panhandling at South Loop 289 and University Avenue on the morning of July 30th. Instead of asking for money, he held up a sign asking if others needed money!! He gave out dollar bills to anyone – even people who did ask.
Peters’ sign said he had a job, a home, and money and he wanted to offer money to others. Somewhat to his surprise, however, people often did not take his money. Instead, they gave him money so he continue to give!!
If you want to get huge fake clown boobs, more power to you. Especially if you can come up with a great excuse for why you didn't just want them ... you needed them!
19-year-old Tasmin Wade of Suffolk, England got her breasts enlarged from a double-A cup to a G-cup. And she says that her enormous fake breasts have made her into a better mother!
Tasmin has a two-year-old son named Finley. And she says that ever since she got her breasts, it's made his life better.
Quote, "I was unable to go swimming with Finley as I felt so self-conscious. Finley had never been swimming ... I feel comfortable to take him abroad now too as I won't mind wearing skimpy clothes and bikinis."
She spent $8,500 on her breasts and says it was the best investment in her child she could make. Quote, "Finley has always been my number one priority, but now I don't let anything hold me back from being the best mom I can be."
Poor Robin Thicke. His attempts to reconcile with his wife Paula seemed to have failed. The couple that started dating 22 years ago and married in 2005 separated in February of this year. Since the split Robin has been very open to letting the world know he wanted her back. From endless dedications on tour, an album named and written for her and finally a deal with 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, creating 2 bouquets named after his songs, which are about her.
Earlier this week their home in L.A went up for sale, sighting the end. Neither party has filled for divorce, and apparently it won’t be Robin. Lawyers have started separating their assets. Robin claims if she wants a divorce she’ll have to make it happen. In the meantime Robin has decided to stop begging for her back and move on. They have 1 boy, Julien who’s 4.

Here's a very charming video of Conan and Dave Franco — under the aliases Djengus Roundstone and Chip Whitley — attempting to pick up women on Tinder. This video has a lot going on, including digs at James Franco, Dave and Conan fighting over a 74-year-old woman named Gloria, and an expedition in a duct-tape filled van named "Brown Lightning." Just watch it, it's a whole thing.
This savvy teen happened upon Berkshire Hathaway chief executive Warren Buffett the other day in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska!
That’s pretty cool, but the sighting was compounded a zillion times by the fact that Paul McCartney was sitting on the same bench!
"Chillin with my homies," Tom White captioned his Instagram pic, featuring himself giving a thumbs up to the camera while Buffett and the Beatles legend totally just sat there chillin' on a bench in the background.
Who's photobombing who here?!
Then Sir Paul retweeted the pic, adding, "Just hanging out with friends," and sending Tom's social media stock rising by leaps and bounds.
Buffett, meanwhile, hasn't tweeted since February (and has only tweeted five times over all since opening an account), but maybe this will get him back in the game.
These days a family of four spends up to $300 a week on groceries, according to government surveys. But you can save a lot of money by NOT buying certain things at the grocery store, including these ten items:
1. Salad dressing. You can make a vinaigrette at home in less than a minute, by combining one part vinegar and three parts oil, then adding salt and pepper. Save calories, money, and most of the space on the inside of your refrigerator door.
2. Gift cards. You do it because you forgot to buy a gift and you're in a hurry. But the activation fees are $5 or more, even for a $50 card. You can get a gift card to the store itself with no activation fees.
3. Greeting cards. You spend $4 on one card and it's corny. You could buy 50 blank cards and envelopes from Amazon for $7, and write your own messages.
4. Name brand spices. Too expensive, and most people can't tell the difference. Get bulk spices from a health food store, or grow your own herbs in a window planter.
5. Flowers. The pre-made bouquets tend to wilt quickly, and they're filled with a lot of greenery and not enough actual flowers. You can save money by buying single flowers and making your own arrangement.
6. Party supplies. Just get them at the dollar store. You'll pay less than half as much, and they might even have a better selection.
7. Lunchables. They're really unhealthy, especially the pepperoni pizza kind. It takes almost no time in the morning to make a sandwich for a school lunch. There's no reason to pay lots of money & sacrifice your kids' health, just to save a few minutes.
8. Batteries. Groceries make them extra-expensive because they know you never think to buy them until you need them. You get a much better deal buying in bulk at Costco, or using rechargeables.
9. Bottled water. It's usually no safer than tap water, and it costs 1,000 times more. If you don't like the taste of tap water, get a Brita or a filter for your faucet. Then use stainless steel water bottles and keep refilling them.
10. Diapers. Again, there's a big markup because you usually don't buy them until you're out. Buy in bulk from Amazon or Costco, and save a lot of money.
The only thing worse than getting fired is not seeing it coming. If you know what's up, at least you can try to find something else first. Here's a list of seven clues that someone is thinking of getting rid of you.
1. Your level of responsibility has gone down. If you used to get trusted with the big stuff, and now you have nothing but free time, that's not a reward. It probably means they want to get used to doing WITHOUT you.
2. The boss is avoiding you. It's a sign of guilt. But there could be other explanations, so ask for some feedback before you do something to make it worse.
3. You've been disciplined recently. If it happens once, you're usually all right as long as you shape up. But after the second time, you could be on your way out.
4. A robot can do your job. If it's possible to automate the work you do, it's only a matter of time before the company WILL automate it. It's basically always cheaper in the long run to have a machine do the work instead of you.
5. The company doesn't pay for your professional development. If you used to go to conferences or luncheons on company time, and now they don't let you do it, it could mean that they don't want to invest in you anymore.
6. Your company was just bought out. They always tell you that no one's getting fired. Then they casually ask you to show one of their managers what you do . . . and then one of their people is taking over your job.
7. You've been asked to create a job description for your position. Not always, but a lot of the time this means someone is trying to decide which employees are expendable.
There are far too many accidental deaths involving children in hot cars in Arizona, but one Tennessee boy is trying to prevent it from happening again with his invention called the EZ Baby Saver.
It all started with a contest and now it could be a life saver.
"I read about a story in our neighborhood, a women who left her child in a hot car, and I was also thinking of entering the rubber band contest. I thought this was a good time to use both ideas and find a way to stop that problem," said Andrew Pelham.
The rubber band contest challenged kids to create something out of rubber bands.
In 5th grade, Pelham created the EZ Baby Saver: something to remind parents when their child is in the back seat.
"It's a device that as u strap your child into your car, you would flip it over your seat and then strap it to your door, so when you got out of the car it would be blocking your path out of the car so you can't get out without undoing and remembering my child's in the car," said Pelham.
Pelham's invention earned him runner-up in the engineering and science division.
He's posted step-by-step instructions online of how to make the EZ Baby Saver at home.
"I just hope that if you don't even make it yourself maybe the idea will help raise awareness, people be a bit more careful with their children," said Pelham. "I just hope that if I can maybe save one life out of this then I'd be successful."
He's not done inventing yet; he says he has more in the works.
A guy in White Plains, New York crashed into a gas station pump last Tuesday, after he went into diabetic shock and passed out. And the entire pump went up in flames!!
Fortunately, John Vescio, an off-duty cop was pumping gas, and pulled him from his car, while the pump was still burning right next to them. Then John ran back and grabbed a bunch of live ammunition from his trunk before his car went up in flames!

Back in 2000, a friend from Japan gave her a Hello Kitty notebook. Natasha became obsessed with Hello Kitty, and she's spent the past 14 years collecting at least 10,000 items. She estimates she's spent $84,000 so far.
Her entire one-bedroom apartment is crammed with Hello Kitty stuff! From appliances and furniture, to curtains and more than 4,000 toys.
Natasha says, "Boyfriends in the past have tried to make me give her up, so I got rid of them. It's part of who I am and I'm not changing for anybody.
"If a man doesn't like my Kitty kingdom and can't accept me for who I am then I'm not interested in them."

The Paul McCartney concert, originally set for June 14th, has been rescheduled for October 2nd. Tickets already purchased will be honored on the new date. The official statement from www.PaulMcCartney.com is below.
'OUT THERE' TOUR TO RESUME JULY 5 IN ALBANY
"I’m sorry but it’s going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again. I’m feeling great but taking my docs' advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon.” — Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney has confirmed that he will, however reluctantly, heed medical advice to rest up just a bit longer to fully recuperate from the virus that forced the postponement of his recent dates in Japan and Korea.
The 'Out There' world tour will now resume July 5 in Albany, NY, and the June 14-26 shows in Lubbock, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Nashville and Louisville have been rescheduled to October. Tickets for the original June dates will be honoured for the new dates detailed below.
The 'Out There' tour, as always, features music from the most beloved catalog in popular music, as Paul performs songs spanning his entire career - as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle. The set list will also include material from Paul's most recent studio album NEW, a global hit upon its release last year.
The McCartney live experience is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; in just three hours some of the greatest moments from the last 50 years of music are relived; music which for many has shaped the very soundtrack of their lives. The last decade has seen Paul and his band perform in a staggeringly impressive range of venues and locations, including outside the Coliseum in Rome, in Moscow's Red Square, Buckingham Palace, at the White House, a free show in Mexico to over 400,000 people, and even broadcast live into Space! Featuring Paul's band of the last 10+ years - Paul "Wix" Wickens (keyboards), Brian Ray (bass/guitar), Rusty Anderson (guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums) - the show never disappoints.
The tour also uses state of the art technology and production to ensure the entire audience has the best possible experience. With massive screens, lasers, fireworks, unique video content and, of course, the best songs in the world, a Paul McCartney show is so much more than just an ordinary concert. Paul's shows attract a multi generational audience from different backgrounds all brought together by his music.
Keep checking PaulMcCartney.com for further announcements.

John Legend returned to his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, where he was granted an honorary doctorate and delivered an inspiring commencement address to a bunch of excited new grads.
During his speech at the renowned university on Monday, Legend started off by playfully boasting that he has "the biggest song in the country right now," and joking that the students were already tired of him because his hit has been overplayed on the radio. "All of you are so over me," he sang to the crowd. "Tired of hearing that I went to Penn. Why'd they bring him back again?" and the crowd cheered in response.
The 35-year-old star said that when he first visited the campus 19 years ago as John Stephens (before he adopted the stage name John Legend), he never would have imagined this day would come. "I never would have thought at that moment that I would be standing here as John Legend speaking to you today," he said.
When it comes to being likeable, your actions speak louder than your words. But if you have the actions to back them up, these six phrases can help make people like you even more than they already do.
1. "Sir" or "Ma'am." Most people these days don't make an effort to show respect. If you do, it makes you stand out in a good way.
2. "You're welcome." If someone thanks you and you say, "No problem," it sounds like it was no big deal for you. But if you say "You're welcome," it shows that you did something SIGNIFICANT for them . . . and they'll appreciate you more.
3. "Here's what's happening." People like to be kept in the loop. So say this to remind people that you know what's going on, and you're about to fill them in.
4. "How can I help?" It not only shows that you're about to give someone a hand, but it also says you're WILLING to give a hand.
5. "I'll find out." This one is great because it says that you're about to go out of your way to help someone else who needs it.
6. "I believe in you." It inspires people to try harder and achieve more. And no one ever forgets the people who inspired them.
A little surprise for my loves, as a thank you for all of your constant love, support and dedication. I know how much y’all love this song, and how disappointed you were when it didn’t make it on to my first album, so I knew I had to get it to you, somehow, someday. This song means a lot to me and holds such a special place in my heart, as it was one of the first songs I did when I started working on Yours Truly when I was like 17. Don’t worry, you’ll get more of these oldies too as time goes on! I’m working on it for you. Love you all so much. You are everything. Love you.
Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake dance together in the new music video for "Love Never Felt So Good". The new video showcases vintage MJ footage along with impersonators nailing the moonwalk and other iconic dance moves.
It sounds like something that could happen right here in West Texas! A boy's bouncy castle flew 50 feet into the air with three kids inside. A gust of wind grabbed the structure even though it was anchored to the ground.
The three boys fell out at around 15 feet off the ground as it was becoming airborne.
There's a new book out called "Tapping For Weight Loss". It makes the claim that you can lose weight, just by tapping your fingers on your face and body.
There are two steps. One, when you're craving something unhealthy, you're supposed to dig down deep to the root of what's bothering you at that moment. Like, are you stressed about work? Are you worried about money?
Then, tap two fingers on nine specific acupuncture pressure points while assuring yourself things are going to be alright. Say something like, "Even though I'm afraid I won't be able to pay off my credit card, I accept how I feel and I'm okay."
The nine pressure points are:
- the fleshy part on the side of your hand below the pinky
- your eyebrow
- next to your eye socket
- under your eye
- under your nose
- your chin
- your collarbone
- under your arm just below the armpit
- the crown of your head
If you tap each point seven times while you tell yourself things are going to be okay, apparently it kills any craving for junk food.
Like I said, I'm not really sold on this. But in a clinical study, 89 women tried it and lost an average of 16 pounds in eight weeks. They all also kept the weight off six months later.
For years, Eminem's strained relationship with his mother, Debbie Mathers, has been fodder for his albums and music videos (remember "Cleaning Out My Closet?").
Fittingly, he dropped his Spike Lee-directed music video "Headlights," shot on location in his native Detroit, on Mother's Day. Choice lyric: "Cause, now I know it's not your fault and I'm not making jokes / That song I'll no longer play at shows and I cringe every time it's on the radio."
Earlier this week, the Australian show "Studio 10" had a guest who claims he can read people's minds by listening their voice.
So he created a stunt called "nail gun roulette", where he had a co-host named Sarah Harris randomly place four nail guns on a rack, one of which was loaded.
He then started eliminating the one that weren't loaded by asking her questions about each one. Each time he eliminated one, he had her hold it up to him and pull the trigger!
Astonishingly, he pulled it off without getting shot with a nail. But the highlight was the first gun. When Sarah picked it up to shoot it, she held it BACKWARDS, and almost shot herself in the FACE. It wasn't loaded, but no one knew that!
Tuesday's episode of "Family Feud" featured the biggest collapse in the show's history!!
It all came apart at the end of the show, when the family that won was in the speed round. Those who have never watched, two of the players have to answer the same five questions, and get a total of 200 points.
The first player did an amazing job and got 182 of them. Which in all fairness, makes the 2nd person's job hard, because the best answers are gone.
But, it also means you need just a few points!!
The second player, Anna, only needed 18. But unfortunately, all five of her answers were so bad, she got ZERO points, and missed out on $20,000.
A year ago, Cearra Swetman of Fort Myers, Florida weighed about 250 pounds.
One night she was out having dinner with her family, when some drunk guy at the bar commented on the Hooters t-shirt she had on, saying to her that she didn't look like any Hooters girl he'd ever seen.
But instead of smashing a bottle over his head and punching him, like he deserved, Cearra decided to use the guy's comment as inspiration!
She started working out ... lost 128 POUNDS over the past year … and now she actually is a Hooters waitress in Fort Myers.
Cearra says it wasn't easy, but the idea of becoming a Hooters waitress and proving the guy wrong kept her going.
Her aspirations don’t stop there though. Because while she's working at Hooters, she's also getting her master's degree in business.
(Reuters) - The first single from late singer Michael Jackson's posthumous album premiered Thursday night, ahead of the record release later this month.
"Love Never Felt So Good," originally written and recorded by Jackson in 1983, is the debut single for "Xscape," to be released on May 13 by Epic Records in partnership with Jackson's estate. The song will be available for purchase starting at midnight Friday.
The album will feature eight previously unreleased songs from Jackson that were recorded between 1983 and 1999.
Singer Justin Timberlake revealed he is featured on "Love Never Felt So Good" in an Instagram post on Thursday.
(Yahoo!) - She ain't no Hollaback Girl, but she's apparently a new "Voice" coach. As rumored, Gwen Stefani will be joining the show's Season 7 panel, sitting in one of those big red chairs alongside her longtime friend and collaborator, Pharrell Williams.
Who confirmed this news? A source very close to the show: none other than on/off original "Voice" coach Christina Aguilera, who tweeted her congratulations to her temporary replacement late Monday evening. (NBC reps had not yet responded to Yahoo's request for comment at press time.)
Gwen will be filling in for Christina — who, by the time Season 7 starts taping in June, will be close to nine months pregnant — and for current Season 6 coach Shakira, who will be spending the summer touring to promote her new album. Christina is expected to return to the show for Season 8, which airs in spring 2015.
Ariana Grande has teased her brand new single featuring Iggy Azalea, "Problem." The singer shared a short preview of the song on her Instagram account. The rest of the new single will be unveiled on April 27th.
The younger generation has the luxury of modern technology and access to almost anything at their fingertips, so it's only natural that they are very confused when they are shown a cassette player and a cassette tape for the first time!
(Yahoo!) - "It's a love story," as the Taylor Swift hopped on a flight from New York to Columbus, Ohio, to surprise her superfan, Gena Gabrielle, at her bridal shower on Sunday. The 24-year-old singer had promised the bride-to-be, whom she first got to know at a meet-and-greet in 2007, that she would attend the party, because she isn't going to be able to attend her wedding in May.
But Gena was still surprised when the superstar actually walked through the doors. "I had no idea it was going to happen," Gena told "Today." "[Taylor] said she planned it with her management and her mom. She said it was all worth it because my face was 'priceless.'"
The "Speak Now" singer posed for pics with the lady of the hour and her guests and after arriving with a basket chockfull of kitchen goodies that included a KitchenAid stand mixer and Le Creuset pots. Taylor even added a personal touch with a hand-painted piece of art, a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies, and a handwritten recipe!
"I will never forget she did this for me," Gena told "Today." "She is truly an incredible, special person."
Science has finally answered the age-old question, "What's the deal with airline food?"
Scientists have figured out there’s an actual reason food on an airplane tastes blander than other food. Turns out it has nothing to do with the food itself.
For starters, once you get up into high altitudes, your senses dull, and the first one to go is your sense of taste. So at 35,000 feet in the air, nothing can taste quite like it would when you're on the ground.
Plus, the airplane also has a lower humidity, which dries out your nose and dulls your sense of smell as well. Since smell is so important to enjoying food, that's another reason the food tastes worse.
When I first saw this, I thought it must be a late April Fools' Day joke. But, it looks like this is really a thing.
Yeah, that's a chicken corsage. Just in time for prom season.
For just $20, buyers will receive a corsage kit from a Louisville, Ky. florist, which includes a $5 KFC gift card that can be used for a drumstick of one's choice—Extra Crispy, Kentucky Grilled Chicken or Original Recipe.
We already knew Emma Stone was a huge Spice Girls fan. And, she's proven that fact once again.
On Wednesday, the hosts on a London radio morning show surprised the actress by having Mel C. (“Sporty Spice”) call in to video chat with her. Emma totally freaked, crying out, “Oh my god, I’m shaking!”
Earlier in the show, she sang the Spice Girls' "Stop" with her "Spider-Man 2" co-star Andrew Garfield.
A newly discovered security bug nicknamed Heartbleed has exposed millions of usernames, passwords and reportedly credit card numbers — a major problem that hackers could have exploited during the more than two years it went undetected. It’s unlike most of the breaches reported over the past few years, in which one Web site or another got hacked or let its guard down. The flaw this time is in code designed to keep servers secure — tens of thousands of servers on which data is stored for thousands of sites. That’s why some experts were calling Heartbleed the worst bug yet, something that should worry everyone who frequents the Internet or does business on it. It’s as if someone went on vacation not knowing the lock on the front door was broken. Could someone walk in? Yes. Will they? Did they? Who knows.
Ed Sheeran is back with new music! This time it's a song produced by Pharrell, called "SING." The new single is the first new music we've had from Ed since he recorded theme song "I See Fire" for the Hobbit soundtrack last year.
"SING" is sure to give even Justin Timberlake a run for his money, with its R&B inspired sound. Furthermore, you gotta hear Ed show off some rapping skills in the song! Anyone who is a fan of the 'A-Team' singer, knows he has some serious rhyming skills!
Meanwhile, Sheeran has announced on Twitter an official release date for the new album, titled with an x and pronounced "Multiply." It's set for release worldwide on June 23rd.
A new study out of the Cardiovascular Research Institute in Allentown, Pennsylvania just found that jogging more than a few hours a week could KILL YOU.
The researchers found that people who went running for more than two to three hours a week have similar lifespans to people who never exercise!
As with many things, moderation is always best. The healthiest people were the ones who got a moderate amount of exercise but didn't overdo it.
For whatever reason, the researchers didn't bother to figure out why running too much kills you. Their best theory is that running causes too much wear & tear on the body, which causes it to break down early.
In light of this news, I’ll probably continue to procrastinate going jogging.
I've always been fascinated with psychology. That's why I thought this was pretty cool when I stumbled across it. Here are five psychological tricks that can give you huge advantages in some everyday situations!
1. If you're in a meeting and you think someone might go after you or attack you about something, sit right next to them. Without the group buffer, they'll either back off, or at least be a lot less critical.
2. Once you make a sales pitch, ask someone out, ask for a favor, or something similar, don't say ANYTHING else after. Make the other person respond completely. It forces them to just keep talking ... and eventually say yes to end the awkwardness.
3. When you first meet someone, figure out their eye color. That forces you to look into their eyes a little longer and a little more intently, and that makes the introduction stronger and more memorable.
4. If you want someone to do you a big favor, ask for a much smaller favor first. They're way more likely to do the big thing for you once they've done the small thing because their brain is in the right mode to help you out.
5. Chew gum before you do something that scares you, like speaking in public or bungee jumping. Your brain is wired to think, "If I'm eating, I'm not in danger". So chewing can calm you down.
This isn't really an April Fools' Day kind of prank. But the people at Break.com found a deserving waitress in L.A., and decided to prank her in a great way.
Meet Chelsea Roff. In the beginning of the video, they explain that she had to raise her little sister by herself, overcame a serious eating disorder by getting really into Yoga, and now runs her own nonprofit.
First they had someone leave a $1,000 tip. Then someone left two plane tickets to Hawaii as their tip. And another customer offered her a job teaching yoga for a much bigger nonprofit!!
Her last customer gave her a key, and brought her outside where a friend she hadn't seen in a long time drove up in a brand new car!
(NEWSER) – A Minnesota school has agreed to pay a student $70,000 to settle a lawsuit stemming from an incident in which administrators forcibly perused her Facebook account, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports. It began when Riley Stratton, then 13, posted on Facebook complaining that a hall monitor was mean, and the school responded by giving her an in-school suspension. "They punished her for doing exactly what kids have done for 100 years—complaining to her friends about teachers and administrators," Riley's ACLU lawyer says.
After 10 years of marriage, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their separation on Tuesday.
In a post on Gwyneth's website Goop titled "Conscious Uncoupling," the 41-year-old actress states: "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate.
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," Paltrow writes. "We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.
"We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time," continues the Oscar winner.
"We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner," concludes the announcement, signed, "Love, Gwyneth & Chris."
Paltrow and Martin, 37, have two children together: daughter Apple, 9, and son Moses, 7.
Following Paltrow's announcement on Goop — which crashed the website — the actress posted a piece by Dr. Habib Sadeghi and Dr. Sherry Sami on the meaning of "Conscious Uncoupling."
"Divorce is a traumatic and difficult decision for all parties involved — and there’s arguably no salve besides time to take that pain away," the article begins. "However, when the whole concept of marriage and divorce is reexamined, there’s actually something far more powerful — and positive — at play."
Paltrow has been notoriously candid about the difficulty of marriage.
"It's hard being married," Paltrow told Glamour U.K. for the June 2013 issue. "You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We're the same as any couple."
"I asked my dad once, 'How did you and Mum stay married for 33 years?' And he said, 'Well, we never wanted to get divorced at the same time,'" the "Iron Man 3" star continued. "And I think that’s what happens. When two people throw in the towel at the same time, then you break up, but if one person’s saying: 'Come on, we can do this,' you carry on."
For much of the past year, Paltrow had been battling with Vanity Fair over an alleged hit piece, which reportedly claimed she had an extramarital fling with Miami billionaire Jeff Soffer. Her camp denied the story, which was ultimately killed by the magazine's editor, Graydon Carter.
Gwyneth and the Coldplay rocker secretly tied the knot at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, on Dec. 5, 2003.
A group of daredevils suspected of parachuting from 1 World Trade Center into Manhattan last year have admitted that they did it—and it was great. The group turned themselves into police yesterday after investigators tracked them down, reports the New York Times. One of the men says the stunt exposed the need for tighter security. "We just kind of walked in," he says. "It’s supposed to be the most secure building in the world. God forbid it was somebody else getting in there with a real intention to harm New Yorkers."
Two 90s super groups could be joining forces. In an interview with U.K.'s "The Sun," Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell dropped the news that the former boy band is "in early talks" for a possible joint tour with the Spice Girls.
The girl group hasn't responded to the comment, but rumors about a reunion among them have surfaced as 2014 marks their 20th anniversary. Mel B told "MTV News" earlier this year that it "would be a shame" if they didn't do something to commemorate the occasion, but Victoria Beckham doesn't seem to be interested. She told "Vogue Paris" that she realized she was finished with the Spice Girls during their 2008 reunion tour because "the passion just wasn't there."
As for the Backstreet Boys, all five members are back on board for another string of North American dates starting in May, as well as the Backstreet Boys Cruise in October.
Here are four signs the person you're with is using you as a REBOUND. Even if some of them don't sound so bad, it's still better to know what's up.
1. They talk about their ex . . . a LOT. Whether it's good OR bad things, if they keep bringing up their ex without you asking, it means they're still sorting through their feelings and not totally over the breakup.
2. They're still in touch with their ex. It's worse if they're trying to do the "just friends" thing. Sure, some people stay friends after breaking up, but it usually takes time to get there . . . so being in touch RIGHT after a relationship ends can be a red flag.
3. They're over-eager. If they're super eager to jump into a serious relationship with you right after a breakup, it might be their way of moving on without dealing with ANY of the feelings or unanswered questions from the last relationship.
4. They're only into sex. People sometimes go a little nuts after getting out of a long-term relationship, and just focus on having sex . . . LOTS of it. Especially if someone cheated on them.
Sounds great . . . but if that seems like ALL they're after, don't be surprised when you get dumped.
The next time you're on the couch creating your ultimate workout playlist, AND avoiding the gym in the process, here's something to help. Researchers in the U.K. created the ultimate WORKOUT PLAYLIST . . . based on SCIENCE.
Sports psychologists in London looked at 6.7 million Spotify playlists that had the word "workout" in the title. Then they analyzed the beats per minute of each song, to figure out the perfect type of music for each PORTION of a workout.
For example, when you're warming up, cooling down, or doing something aerobic, you should listen to POP music . . . because you want music with a regular rhythmic pattern for stuff that tends to be repetitive.
For jogging, the best thing to listen to is RAP, because the number of beats per minute match up well with the average person's stride rate.
And when you're lifting weights, DANCE music is best, because it's faster and has a lot of bass.
The researchers say you should NEVER listen to ROCK, because most rock songs have changes in rhythm, which can mess with YOUR rhythm. The study didn't say anything about country.
And here are the specific examples they came up with for the PERFECT workout playlist . . . from warm-up to cool-down.
1. To get mentally prepared and psyched up . . . listen to "Roar" by Katy Perry. It has 92 beats per minute.
2. While you're stretching, "Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo. 100 beats per minute.
3. For an aerobic warm-up, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk. 116 beats per minute.
4. For a moderate cardio workout, "Timber" by Pitbull and Ke$ha. 130 beats per minute.
5. For a more intense cardio workout, "Applause" by Lady Gaga. 140 beats per minute.
6. For REALLY intense cardio, "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. 147 beats per minute.
7. For weight lifting, "The Monster" by Eminem and Rihanna. 110 beats per minute. Which isn't really 'dance' music, but the other examples they gave were British.
8. And to cool down, "Burn" by Ellie Goulding. 86 beats per minute.
When it's a REALLY tough workout, you're also supposed to choose songs that remind you of your YOUTH, because they subconsciously help motivate you to power through when you're tired.
Which now validates my reasoning for working out while listening to Ace Of Base.
Steve Craig, who worked with Kidd Kraddick many years ago in the '80s, passed along the following stories about working with Kidd...
My first encounter with Dave [Kidd's real name] was when I was the night jock at Top-40 K104 in Fresno back in 1979... pulling double-digits in the ratings, I was the top night jock in the city... then 96FM (KYNO-FM) hired Kidd to go up against me... He royally kicked my a**, and I think one of the reasons is that Kidd broke the song "Rapper's Delight" in California... My [program director] wouldn't add it for nights, and I remember Kidd infiltrating one of my high school lunchtime giveaway appearances, handing out lyric sheets to the song, so the kids could learn to rap the words! Brilliant.
When our station folded, I went across the street to KYNO-FM to do 10-2am following Kidd... He warmly welcomed me to the staff, gave me a hug and told me how HE admired ME! he laughed when I said "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" We eventually met up again in SLC, where I became his first morning show partner at KLRZ!
I remember Dave's first piece of charity work on the radio... in the early '80s, when we did mornings on KLRZ "Color 95"... (He actually went by "Kip Kraddick" since we were a more "adult" station!) He was set to do a marathon broadcast inside a huge water tower that was the historic icon/feature of Trolley Square shopping center in Salt Lake City. All to raise money for a children's charity. He was set to literally live in the tower 24/7! We set up a little apartment inside the tower, and everything was going well, until the temps got up into the 90s and there was no A/C in the tower! But he stuck it out, refusing to come down until our goal was reached...
(Yahoo!) - Russell Brand asked Katy Perry for a divorce in a text message?!
The "Wide Awake" singer covers the July issue of Vogue magazine and opens up about her failed marriage with Russell Brand and the tragic way he asked to end their 14-month marriage. “He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him,” she said. “Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011.”
But, it didn’t end there. The 28-year-old also talked about the equality of their relationship.
“At first when I met him he wanted an equal, and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they’re like, I can’t handle the equalness. He didn’t like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour. So that was really hurtful, and it was very controlling, which was upsetting.”
Perry also admitted that being on tour was a factor that led to the end of their relationship but there was more to the dissolution that met the eye.
“I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can’t necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day. I let go and I was like: This isn’t because of me; this is beyond me. So I have moved on from that,” Perry shared.
Selena Gomez is having another "Spring Breakers" moment in her new video for "Come & Get It," which premiered Tuesday night on MTV.
The 20-year-old embraces the Indian influences in her single and shows off her dance moves in the face of all sorts of natural elements .
It was directed by Anthony Mandler, who is also behind Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." She tells "MTV" she feels its the best video she's put out so far and that Anthony did a "perfect" job conveying the "earthy" feel she was going for.

Check it out! "Ashtrays & Heartbreaks" from Snoop Lion, featuring Miley Cyrus! Whatcha think?
The artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg teamed up with the unlikeliest of singers — Miley Cyrus — to make music magic. The result: a Reggae-infused track, titled "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks."
The new Snoop Lion song, produced by Major Lazor and Ariel Rechtshaid, features Cyrus, 20, on the hook.
"I did a song with Snoop, and it's coming out very, very soon," Cyrus previously told Ryan Seacrest. "I can finally say I'm going to have a song with Snoop Dogg coming very soon. It's recorded, done. I'm so excited!"
Cyrus's upcoming album will also include a song of her own with Snoop Lion, 41, which she has announced will be the first single.
The former Disney starlet has also tweeted excitedly about working on her new music. Cyrus dropped hints via Twitter about collaborations with artists, including hit producer Pharrell.
"I want this record to be different and a bunch of passion projects," she said. "I've been able to do these things where I've just been in the studio at the right time and these projects have just magically come."
While Snoop's full album is due out April 23, Cyrus hasn't put a date on her release.
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, who has done stints in rehab for problems with alcohol, has dropped out of the current leg of the band's tour for "personal issues," the band said on its website on Wednesday.
"Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled," the posting said, offering no other details or when Sambora might resume performing.
Sambora, 53, spent time in rehab in 2007 and 2011, and the band did its 2011 North American andEuropean tour without him.
Bon Jovi is scheduled to perform this week in Edmonton, Alberta, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and St. Paul, Minn. on Sunday.
The "Because We Can" tour's April dates include Los Angeles, Denver, Las Vegas and other cities before international appearances kick off on May 7 in Capetown, South Africa.
The band is set to play in Sweden, Germany, Britain, Spain, Poland and Italy among others before returning to the United States in July.
I hadn't seen Finding Nemo in a long time, but it was on Sunday and so I took the time to watch it. Now, we're finding out today, that an official sequel has finally come together!
Pixar is finally taking us back to the sea.
Disney announced on Tuesday that its follow-up to 2003's Oscar-winning splash hit "Finding Nemo" will be titled "Finding Dory," and will focus on the loveable, little blue tang fish voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. The movie, which will be directed by original "Nemo" co-director Andrew Stanton, will hit theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.
"I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time," DeGeneres said in a release. "I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating "Toy Story 16." But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is -- it's got a lot more Dory."
"Finding Dory" will apparently take place about a year after the events of "Nemo." Characters including Marlin, Nemo and the "Tank Gang" will all be back, though Pixar didn't specify whether actors including Albert Brooks and Willem Dafoe will return to voice them.
They did, however, say that the story will be partially set along the California coastline, and will feature several new characters -- "including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory's life."
"Finding Nemo" reportedly earned $380,843,261 at the domestic box office and an additional $540,900,000 at the international box office, for a total worldwide gross of $921,743,261. That's pretty impressive for a movie about some little fishes that had a production budget of $94 million. It also won the 2003 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
The film is the latest in Pixar's plethora of sequels, including three "Toy Story" films and two "Cars" installments, and a prequel to "Monsters Inc.," titled "Monsters University," to be released this summer.
That's all dandy, but DeGeneres may have raised a good point -- a little more Dory, a lot sooner, would have likely gone over just swimmingly with "Nemo" fans.
Tell us: Are you excited for "Finding Dory"? Are you glad that Ellen DeGeneres will have an even bigger role?

In an effort to make convenience stores MORE⦠convenient, Cracked.com posted some ETIQUITTE rules we should ALL be following. And they look SPOT ON!.
The top five:
1) Know How to Use the Credit Card Machine. A lot of stores make you swipe your own card now. And the self-swiper machines have been around a while, so you SHOULD be able to do it without messing it up twice and taking five minutes.
2) Don't Scratch Off Your Lottery Tickets Right Next to the Register. The worst is when someone buys a ticket then scratches it off while they're still standing in line . . . because they don't want to go to the END of the line to cash it in if they win something.
But even if you're just taking up counter space and you're KIND OF in someone's way, it's still rude.
3) Don't Trash the Soda Fountain Area. If you spill something at HOME, you clean it up. But for some reason that mentality doesn't always exist at convenience stores, because you figure someone's being PAID to do it.
Which is true. But at the very least, let an employee know there's a spill. Or better yet, wipe it up with napkins. Then when you're done wiping it up, throw the wet napkins in the trash. Don't just leave them sitting on the counter.
4) Don't Take Forever in the Bathroom. If you're using the bathroom at a convenience store . . . it's probably for something SERIOUS. But remember, that's probably the case for MOST people who need to use it.
So don't just sit in there playing games on your cell phone. Do what you need to do, and be done with it.
5) If It's a Gas Station, Don't Park at the Pump. This one's obvious, but a lot of people don't think about it. After you fill up at a gas station when it's busy, move your car to a parking space before you go inside, so someone ELSE can fill up.
