Broadway Musical, The Lion King, is Coming to Lubbock!

Good news for Broadway musical and The Lion King lovers, the jungle is coming to the Hub City! The world’s number one musical is coming to Lubbock in October of 2023; the dates of the musical are October 5 through the 15.

Disney’s Broadway musical The Lion King was directed and designed by the one and only Julie Taymor. She won a Tony Award for her designs and directing, and helped make The Lion King what it is today on the stage. For more on Julie and the other team members, visit here.

On Monday, June 5, a VIP reception was held to increase the excitement and take a look at the behind the scenes of the production. Alpha Media joined the celebration, and experienced performances from cast members and a look into how the show was created.
