Needing Some Extra Love This Christmas
Kimberly has been doing everything possible to support her son after the loss of his dad this summer… Hopefully now, their Christmas can be a little brighter!

“I am the director of an after school program at an elementary school. This program allows parents to have loving, safe childcare until they get off work. We have a five year old boy named Elijah who lost his father in a horrific car accident in August. I’m nominating his mother, Kimberly Boran. Kimberly lost the love of her life within days of Elijah starting kindergarten. Kimberly is typically the last parent to pick up from our program because she works (on her feet, no less) every possible minute to be able to provide for herself and Elijah. Our after school program has two employees including myself. My co-worker and I have been doing everything possible to support Kimberly and Elijah. Elijah wore a suit for his father’s funeral and sometimes he likes to wear it to school to remember his dad. My co-worker wore a suit to our after school program one day. When the kids asked why, he told them “Elijah looked so sharp in his suit yesterday it made me want to dress like him.””
