The Buddy Holly Center Fine Arts Gallery is inviting artists to participate in Heart & Habitat, a community exhibition celebrating animals in art. The exhibition will be on view February 3 through April 4, 2027, in the Fine Arts Gallery.

Heart & Habitat explores the relationships between animals, their environments, and the people whose lives they touch. From cherished household pets and working animals to wildlife and the natural world, the exhibition welcomes artwork that reflects the beauty, diversity, and significance of animals. Artists are encouraged to explore themes of companionship, conservation, memory, identity, and place through their chosen medium.

Participation is non-juried and available on a first-come, first served basis until the exhibition reaches capacity. Artists may submit up to two artworks. The submission deadline is December 1, 2026, or earlier if exhibition capacity is reached.

To reserve a space, artists must email a clear image of each proposed artwork along with the required artist and artwork information. Incomplete submissions will not secure a place in the exhibition.

Artwork information should include the artist’s name, email address, artwork title, medium, dimensions, and sale price, if applicable. Submissions should be emailed to [email protected].

Artwork drop-off is scheduled for January 19, 2027, with pickup on April 5, 2027. Artists who ship their work are responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs and must include a prepaid return shipping label with their shipment.

Complete submission guidelines and additional exhibition information are available at buddyhollycenter.org.
