“I would like to nominate my best friend of 7 years, Bre. Bre found out when she was 17 (2006) that she had rare heart disease. She has fought bravely through ups and downs for years, but this year her health and heart function have started to decline. On October 31, we got the news that she needs a need heart transplant. It was AMAZING news, but my friend is struggling financially. Her husband has had to miss a lot of work to be with her at the hospital or with their child. On top of that, she is stressing about coming up with funds for aftercare when she gets a new heart. Bre has always been there for me, she helped me leave an abusive relationship and housed me and my child for years afterwards. She is the best person I know. Christmas is probably the furthered thing from her mind right now, so I hope you spread a little joy to her and family.”
